Multiple Interloop Abdominal Abscesses Following Hernia Repair - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This is a revision of DOE exh# 78863B. The final version has an anterior figure and three insets showing progressive conditions.

The anterior figure shows the body from the diaphragm to the pelvis. The area of attention is the periumbilical area of torn intestine and the dark abscesses surrounding it and spread throughout the lower abdomen.

The three insets show the area of torn bowel in the small intestine surrounded by pus, then surrounding abscesses as seen in the anterior figure, then with an inflammatory response to the adjacent bowel resection.
